PNSN > PNSN Partners > PNSN Contributing Organizations

The PNSN would like to thank the following organizations for their support of PNSN operations:

Bonneville Power Administration                Bonneville Power Administration

BPA and the PNSN have long been partners in monitoring seismic activity in the Pacific Northwest. The PNSN provides direct strong motion monitoring of about 15 BPA facilities and BPA assists us in the telemetering of seismographic data to the University of Washington.

Puget Sound Energy               Puget Sound Energy

Puget Sound Energy assists the PNSN in the transmission of seismographic data to UW.

AT&T Wireless Services                AT&T Wireless Services

AT&T Wireless provides the PNSN with emergency communication capabilities through the use of cell phones, alpha-numeric pagers, and outstanding service.

Union Pacific Foundation               Union Pacific Foundation

The Union Pacific Foundation provided funding to improve the speed of our earthquake data analysis and develop the Rapid Alert for Cascadia Earthquakes (RACE) system.

The Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries

DOGAMI has assisted with the siting of instruments and have purchased strong motion seismometers that the PNSN installed and operate in Oregon. DOGAMI also provides information about Oregon earthquake activity in cooperation with the PNSN.
